It is so important to me to have a morning routine because it sets me up for the day. It ensures that I start the day; focused, motivated, energised and this then flows into the rest of my day. I fill my morning routine with self development practises to become the best version of myself, that I need to be in order to attract, create and sustain my best life. If I don’t dedicate time each day to becoming my best self, then my life doesn’t flow, it feels like a struggle and I’m not creating or living my best life. It has taken me sometime to develop a routine that aligns with me and my life. Everyone’s routine will look different.
My morning routine is inspired by the book the “The Miracle Morning” by Hal Elrod. It is one of the best books I have read, it talks about six habits the “SAVERS” that will transform your life, no longer settling in life instead living an extraordinary life and levelling up to level 10 success. Definitely get yourself a copy, you won’t regret it.
The “Miracle Morning” refers to a morning routine known as “SAVERS”.
Silence – Engaging in a period of silence through mediation, prayer, reflection, deep breathing and/or gratitude.
Affirmations – Create your own affirmations to overcome your limiting beliefs and behaviours. The book includes a five step process to create your own affirmations.
Visualisation – Is the process of visualising exactly what you want to achieve or attain in life.
Exercise – When you move your body even just for a few minutes it will boost your energy, improve your self confidence, health and mood.
Reading – Enables you to acquire knowledge, ideas and strategies to achieve your best life.
Scribing – Getting your thoughts out of your head onto paper, this will give you insight into lessons learned, ideas, realisations, breakthroughs, success and areas of opportunity and growth.
My Personalised Morning Routine
I have personalised by “SAVERS” into by morning routine. I start every morning with a glass of warm lemon water, this aids digestion and rehydrates me. I make my bed, tidy the bedroom and get dressed. I stretch, move my body and let myself flow for around five minutes and then settle into a mediation, some days I practise my breath with music bringing myself into the present moment and others I do a guided mediation. I then move into a visualisation, I have a vision board with photos of the things I’m working towards and manifesting, I focus on each photo, imagining I already have it, reminding myself of “WHY” I want it, “HOW” I will feel once I achieve it and what steps of action am I taking towards it. Next I Scribe. I journal my gratitudes, affirmations and how I am feeling in the present moment. I also journal about anything I might be currently manifesting and any other thoughts I might be having. I then to take my puppy Lilo for a walk, whilst we walk I listen to a podcast. Then I start my day.
If you currently don’t have a morning routine, start small and add or take out things as you go, until you find what works for you. Mine started with walking and a podcast and has grown into something special for me. It also doesn’t have to take up a lot of time, use your time effectively and you will see results.
I would love to hear and see all your morning routines, if you would like to share please tag Best Life Babez instagram or dm me.
