You have some areas of your life you want to create change in. Maybe your not totally clear on what the actual goal is or what it is you really want to achieve.
Let’s turn these thoughts and ideas of change into some inspiring goals.
Step 1 – What is it you really want to achieve?
What area of your life do you want to create change in? ie. health, career, finance, social, mindset
What does change look like to you? ie. health – could be moving your body every day, eating more whole foods, learning something new, reading new books. Get as descriptive as possible on what the changes are. Sit in meditation for 10 mins, just imagine the changes and action you would take.
How do you want to feel once you have achieved ‘xyz’? ie. health – strong, happy, energetic
How can you cultivate these feelings right now in your life? ie. energetic could be a weekly adventure in nature somewhere new.
If you could have absolutely anything what would it be?
Step 2 – Now you are clear on what it is you want to achieve and how you want to feel once you have achieved it, now it is time to write your goal.
The goal should encompass the core of what it is you want to achieve. The ‘doing’ ie. moving your body every day, eating more whole foods, learning something new, reading new books, this is part of the action you will take to achieve your goal, not the goal itself.
Are there any particular words that are standing out and hold meaning for you ie. health – energetic, strong, more
Take these words that stand out to you, that have meaning and feeling behind them, start playing around with them.
‘Feel more energetic and strong’
‘Feel the most energetic and strong I have ever felt’
‘Have more energy and strength everyday’
‘Be stronger and energetic everyday’
Step 3 – Once you have decided on the goal, sit with it, for a day or week however long you need to decide YES this is the goal for me.
Write your goals out and put them somewhere you will read them each day.
Check in with your goals regularly
How am I progressing?
How can I take action towards this goal?
What is holding me back?
How am I feeling in this current moment about my goal?
How can I cultivate the feelings I actually desire to feel for this goal more?
